Neurexins are heavily glycosylated and processed neuronal transmembrane cell surface proteins likely involved in cell recognition and adhesion. Antibody Anti-Neurexin-1-alpha was made against a peptide immunogen corresponding to a stretch of aa’s in the extracellular domain of human Neurexin-1-alpha. Although the theoretical full length of Neurexin-1-alpha is 161kD, the protein detected in human brain lysates may show a band around 160kD and additional bands around 45kD as a possible result of the posttranslational processing previously reported.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:100. Antigen retrieval with citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is recommended Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
