CAMKK2, CAMKKB, KIAA0787, Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase kinase 2, Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase kinase beta

The product of this gene belongs to the Serine/Threonine protein kinase family, and to the Ca(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase subfamily. This protein plays a role in the calcium/calmodulin-dependent (CaM) kinase cascade by phosphorylating the downstream kinases CaMK1 and CaMK4. Seven transcript variants encoding six distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. Additional splice variants have been described but their full-length nature has not been determined. The identified isoforms exhibit a distinct ability to undergo autophosphorylation and to phosphorylate the downstream kinases.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 1:100~250
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
CAMKK2 Mab is generated from mouse immunized with CAMKK2 recombinant protein.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation.
Specificity
Human, mouse
