Guanylate-binding proteins, such as GBP4, are induced by interferon and hydrolyze GTP to both GDP and GMP (Vestal, 2005 [PubMed 16108726]).

Storage and Stability

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Immunogen

GBP4 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 369-396 amino acids from the Central region of human GBP4.
