TSPAN3, TM4SF8, Tetraspanin-3, Tetraspanin TM4-A, Transmembrane 4 superfamily member 8

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains. The proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. The use of alternate polyadenylation sites has been found for this gene.

Applications
Suitable for use in FLISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other potential application, though not tested is Direct Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunohistochemistry: Formlin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 90-117 in the central region of human TSPAN3. Species Sequence Homology: bovine
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
Purity
Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
