Monokine with inflammatory and chemokinetic properties. Binds to CCR1, CCR4 and CCR5. One of the major HIV-suppressive factors produced by CD8+ T-cells. Recombinant MIP-1-alpha induces a dose-dependent inhibition of different strains of HIV-1, HIV-2, and simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV).
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
ELISA: 0.5-2ug/ml (100ul/well). In conjunction with 143656 as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant human CCL3 Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for recombinant human CCL3 is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O containing 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to human CCL3, expressed in E. coli.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O to 0.1-mg/ml.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human CCL3
