Protected γ-L-Glutamyl-L-glutamic Acid. A short peptide found in Lentinus edodes, asparagus shoot and tabacco cells. γ-L-Glutamyl-L-glutamic Acid is a partial agonist at the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors in cultured cerebellar granule cells. A substrate for γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (γ-GTP).
