Applications
Suitable for use in Immunoelectrophoresis, Double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) and ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunoelectrophoresis: 120ul against 2ul serum, plasma or equivalent Double Radial Immunodiffusion: Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in a 3mm diameter center well and 2ul serum samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2mm diameter peripheral wells. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Highly purified albumin isolated from duck serum.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Preservative free. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O. Dilute further in PBS, pH 7.2.
Specificity
Recognizes duck serum albumin. In immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) against the immunogen, a single characteristic precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin lines obtained against duck serum and the purified albumin.
