Aminoacylase (ACY1) is an intracellular soluble homodimeric zinc-binding enzyme. It is involved in the breakdown of acetylated amino acids generated during protein degradation by catalyzing the formation of free aliphatic amino acids from N-acetylated precursors. Mutations in the ACY1 gene might cause inborn metabolic disorders. The aa sequence of human ACY1 is 100%, 88% and 86% identical to that of chimpanzee, dog and mouse/rat.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
Mouse myeloma cells with B cells obtained from a rat immunized with purified, insect cell-derived, recombinant human aminoacylase (aa2-408).
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C for short-term only. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Purified, insect cell-derived, recombinant human aminoacylase (aa2-408).
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, 5% trehalose. Reconstitute with 200ul sterile PBS.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human Aminocyclase. Species sequence homology: chimpanzee (100%), canine (88%), mouse and rat (86%).
