Angiopoietin-like 1 is a secreted glycoprotein structurally related to the angiopoietins. It contains an N-terminal coiled-coiled domain and a C-terminal fibrinogen-like domain. Unlike angiopoietins which are agonists and antagonists of the Tie-2 receptor tyrosine kinase, Angiopoietin-like 1 is an orphan ligand that does not bind Tie-2.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 0.2ug/mL Detection limit is ~2ng/lane and 5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions, respectively. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile TBS, pH 7.3, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
