ACE, also known as kininase II and CD143 antigen, is a dipeptidyl carboxyl peptidase that contains zinc. It plays an important role in blood pressure regulation and electrolyte balance by hydrolyzing angiotensin I into angiotensin II, a potent vasopressor and aldosterone-stimulating peptide.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recombinant protein corresponding to Leu30-Leu1261 from human ACE expressed in NS0 cells.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, 5% trehalose. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile PBS.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from hybridoma culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes human ACE. Does not cross-react with rhACE-2 or rhNeprilysin.
