ASH1 (achaete-scute complex homolog-like1) is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (BHLH) family of transcription factors. It activates transcription by binding to the E box. ASH1 plays a role at the early stages of development of specific neural lineages in most regions of the CNS and in the generation of olfactory and autonomic neurons.
Control peptide for corresponding antibody A3782-01 which recognizes ASH 1 (ACSL1, MASH1) at 25.7kD. Species Crossreactivity: Human and rodent. Synthetic peptide, amino acids 72-84 of human ASH 1 conjugated to BSA. The sequence is 100% homologous in rat ASH 1 from amino acids 67-79 and ~92% homologous in mouse ASH1 from amino acids 65-77.
