Human CD268 (BAFFR, BAFF receptor) is a type I TNF superfamily receptor member #13c. It is highly specific for CD257 (BAFF), which itself does bind to other receptors TACI, and BCMA. CD268 expressed on B cells and its ligation by CD257 (BAFF) regulates maturation.

Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Flow Cytometry Protocol
1. Wash 5x10e5 cultured human Raji cells per tube and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80ul of B0003-68Y2 at 10ug/ml. 2. Cells were washed twice and incubated with secondary reagent Streptavidin/R-PE (S7973-88P) after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. 3. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.1 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1/Biotin negative control at a similar concentration. 3. Binding was blocked when cells were pre incubated 10 minutes with 20ul of 0.5mg/ml B0003-68Y.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to human BAFF Receptor
Form
Supplied as liquid in 50mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.5, 100mM potassium chloride, 150mM sodium chloride, 0.2% BSA, 0.04% sodium azide, 5% glycerol. Labeled with Biotin.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography
Specificity
Recognizes human BAFF Receptor Binds to recombinant CD268 (but not CD269) in ELISA and native CD268 expressed on Raji cell surface.
