Chemokine receptors are specialized proteins that function at the surface of cells, and enable chemokines to trigger internal cellular processes. Chemokines and their receptors play a pivotal role in lymphocyte trafficking, recruiting and recirculation. Chemokines act through seven transmembrane G protein-coupled receptors. The chemokine system is increasingly recognized to play an important role in lymphocyte biology.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
ELISA 1:50,000 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:125 Flow Cytometry: 1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa10-37, IPGMFDDFSYDSTASTDDYMNLNFSSFF, of mouse CCR9.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 1mg/ml BSA, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes mouse CCR9. Peptide sequence is < 50% identical to other mouse chemokine receptors in this region. Recognizes mouse CCR9 and cross-reacts to human CCR9 due to 76% homology within this peptide region.
