CD74 antigen, DHLAG, HLA class II histocompatibility antigen gamma chain, HLADG, HLA-DR antigens-associated invariant chain, Ia antigen-associated invariant chain, Ia-GAMMA, Ii, p33, protein 41

CD74 represents a type II integral membrane protein known as MHC Class II-associated invariant chain (Mr 43, 41, 35, 33kD). It is moderately expressed on B cells, and weakly on monocytes and macrophages. CD74 is also found on a subset of activated T cells, Langerhans cells, dendritic cells and some epithelial cells. CD74 may play a role in antigen processing and presentation through intracellular transport and expression of Class II molecules on the cell surface.1-4

Applications
• Flow cytometry • Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections and paraffin sections) • Immunoprecipitation
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: 10ul/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Cell line SU-DHL-4 nuclei
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.09% sodium azide and a stabilizing agent. Labeled with Biotin.
