CD235a (Glycophorin A (GpA)) antigen is exclusively expressed on human erythroid cells and their progenitors. These antibodies may be effectively used for differentiation in acute leukemias e.g. presence of the CD235a antigen on leukemia cells indicates an early erythroid cell lineage of the tumor cells.

Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, and Cytotoxic Assays. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:25 Immunohistochemistry (Frozen, paraffin): 1:100-1:1000 . Does not require antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
IHC Positive Control
Human hypophysis
Hybridoma
Spleen cells from immunized DA rats were fused with cells of the Y3/Ag.1.2.3.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Human CD235a.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from tissue culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes human CD235a (Glycophorin A (GpA)).
