Synthetic minimal media with raffinose and agar, Glucose free

Nitrogen, carbon, trace element, and vitamin source for yeast growth. Supplement with the appropriate DO Mix for selection and propagation of yeast transformants. Drop-out Base With Raffinose and Agar is glucose and galactose free for the reversible repression of galactose-inducible genes. Galactose-inducible genes can be activated by replica plating to galactose plates.

All lots are quality control tested using the appropriate yeast strains and transformants.

Directions per Liter
Dissolve 43.7 grams in 800-900ml of ddH2O stirring gently with heating until completely solubilized. Adjust pH of the medium to the desired level. Add additional water to bring the solution to1L. Dispense into appropriate containers, loosen caps and autoclave for 15 minutes at 121ºC (15psi).
Storage and Stability
Store powdered media at RT. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared media should be kept refrigerated and used within a short period of time.
