Fetuin A, also named Alpha 2-Heremans Schmid Glycoprotein (AHSG), is an abundant plasma protein that is a member of the cystatin superfamily.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 2-8ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Mouse myeloma cell line NS0-derived recombinant protein corresponding to Ala19-Val367 (predicted) from human Fetuin A/AHSG
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 5% trehalose. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile PBS.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography from hybridoma culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes human Fetuin A. Does not crossreact with rmFetuin A, rhMMP-2, rhMMP-9, recombinant human TGF-beta1, recombinant human TGF-beta2, recombinant human Cathepsin V, or recombinant human BMP-2, -4 or -6.
