This intronless gene is a member of the frizzled gene family. Members of this family encode seven-transmembrane domain proteins that are receptors for the wingless type MMTV integration site family of signaling proteins. This gene encodes a protein that is coupled to the beta-catenin canonical signaling pathway. Competition between the wingless-type MMTV integration site family, member 3A and wingless-type MMTV integration site family, member 5A gene products for binding of this protein is thought to regulate the beta-catenin-dependent and -independent pathways.

Applications
Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunoprecipitation: 7ug/reaction Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Controls
Immunoprecipitation: HepG2 cells Western Blot: Human CaCO2, PC-3, SKOV3, SW480, HepG2 and HEK293 cell lysates
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide derived from the N-terminal region of human Frizzled-2 (FZD2). Species Sequence Homology: mouse
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human FZD2. On Western Blots, it identifies a band at ~85kD.
