G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs, or GPRs) contain 7 transmembrane domains and transduce extracellular signals through heterotrimeric G proteins. GPCR EX33 is a member of this family (subfamily Orphan A). ESTs have been isolated from blood and brain libraries.
