Dual specificity receptor for uracil nucleotides and cysteinyl leukotrienes (CysLTs). Signals through G(i) and inhibition of adenylyl cyclase. May mediate brain damage by nucleotides and CysLTs following ischemia.

Applications

Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution

ELISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml, observed in human brain (cerebellum), and in mouse and rat brain lysates on ~45kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-EGKTNESSLSAKSE, from GPR17, at C-terminal (NP_005282.1).

Recognizes human GPR17. Species Crossreactivity: Mouse and rat. Species sequence homology: Bovine.
