Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Neutralization, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA (Sandwich): 0.5-2ug/ml. Using 100ul/well antibody solution. When used in conjunction with K0201-01B, as a detection antibody allows the detectin of at least 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant human KGF. Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit is 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Immunohistochemistry: 0.5ug/ml, overnight at 4°C. This antibody stained formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections of normal human skin. An HRP-labeled polymer detection system was used with a non-alcohol soluble AEC chromogen and a proteinase K antigen retrieval. Neutralization: 8.0ug/ml yeilds one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of human KGF (18.9ng/ml). Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to human Keratinocyte Growth Factor expressed in E. coli.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.2. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/ml.
Purity
Purified by Immunoaffinity chromatography. Endotoxin: <0.1ng/ug protein
Specificity
Recognizes human Keratinocyte Growth Factor.
