Unit Definition of Activity
One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will convert 1.0umol ATP and 1.0umol AMP to 2umol ADP per min at 25°C, pH 7.5. Note: 1 KU = 1000 units.
Contaminants
ATPase ≤ 0.01% Phosphoglycerate kinase ≤ 0.1%
Storage and Stability
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
