Neomycin Sulfate, 50mg/ml Solution is a convenient, ready to use concentrate which inhibits protein synthesis via ribosomal binding mechanism.
Aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits translation by binding to the small subunit of prokaryotic ribosomes. Inhibitor of phospholipase C due to binding to inositol phospholipids. Neomycin inhibits phosphatidylcholine-phospholipase D activity. Blocks voltage sensitive Ca2+ channels without affecting Na+/Ca2+ antiporter in nerve cells.
Prepared with deionized water in 0.9% saline. 0.2um sterile-filtered with validated membrane filters.
