Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase with a dual-specificity for the second messengers cAMP and cGMP, which are key regulators of many important physiological processes. Has a higher affinity for cGMP than for cAMP.

Applications

Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution

ELISA: 1:64,000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, human brain (cerebellum) lysates observed on ~55kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-DLHKNSEDLVNAE, from human PDE1A, at C-terminal (NP_005010.2).

Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.

Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.

Specificity

Recognizes human PDE1A. Species sequence homology: Bovine, mouse and rat.
