Microtubule-binding protein essential for faithful chromosome segregation. Mediates TRF1 and TERT accumulation in nucleolus and enhances TRF1 binding to telomeres. Inhibits telomerase activity. May inhibit cell proliferation and act as tumor suppressor.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:4000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, Jurkat lysate observed on ~35kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to SMLAERRRKQKWAV-C, from human PINX1, at N-terminal (NP_060354.4).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human PINX1. Species sequence homology: Bovine, canine, mouse, porcine and rat.
