SFRP3, also known as FRZB, Fritz, Frzb1 and FRP-3, is expressed in the developing bone and cartilage as well as several adult tissues. It functions as an antagonist of Wnt signaling.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml; The detection limit for recombinant mouse SFRP3 is ~5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. In this format, shows ~60% crossreactivity with recombinant human SFRP3. Immunohistochemistry: 2-5ug/ml; Detects SFRP3 in cells and tissues. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile TBS, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to Ala33-Ser323 from mouse SFRP3, expressed in NS0 cells.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, BSA. Labeled with Biotin. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile TBS, pH 7.3, 0.1% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes mouse SFRP3.
