Slit-2 is thought to act as molecular guidance cue in cellular migration, and its function appears to be mediated by interaction with roundabout homolog (ROBO) receptors. It is a secreted protein known for its role of repulsion in axon guidance and neuronal migration that can also inhibit leukocyte chemotaxis induced by chemotactic factors.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 4-8ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to DDCQDNKCKNGAH, from human SLIT2, at the internal region of the protein (NP_004778.1).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human SLIT2. Species sequence homology: Canine, mouse and rat.
