TLR7 (toll-like receptor 7) is a 121kD type I transmembrane protein which belongs to the toll-like receptor (TLR) family, and is predominantly expressed in the spleen, lung and placenta.

TLRs are highly conserved proteins which play a key role in activation of innate immunity, through the recognition of distinct molecular patterns expressed by infectious agents. TLR7 recognizes and interacts with single-stranded RNA (ssRNA) derived from viruses such as influenza , HIV-1 (human immunodeficiency virus type I) and Sendai, and some siRNAs, resulting in the activation of the MyD88/interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase (IRAK) signaling pathway, and the production of proinflammatory signaling molecules.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
