Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
A synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 417-435 ([BLAST]DLVSEYQQYQDATADEQGE[/BLAST]) of human b-Tubulin was used as immunogen, GenBank no. gi|27227551|gb|AAN85571.1|. This sequence is 100% conserved between multiple species including bovine, chicken, dog, monkey, mouse, rat, and xenopus.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.2% gelatin, 0.05% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in beta I and beta II tubulin. Species Crossreactivity: Bovine, Chicken, canine, Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat, Xenopus.
