Bovine WC1 is a 215/300kD antigen expressed on the majority of gamma/delta T lymphocytes. These cells also express low levels of CD5, but are negative for other B and T cell markers.

The WC1 antigen is reported to be involved in a number of processes, including activation of gamma/delta T cells and the development of a Th1-biased acquired immune response.
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Flow Cytometry: 1:25-1:200; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Requires protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections. e.g. trypsin or pronase. Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
NS1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
