Participates in the regulation of gene transcription. Binds DNA in a non-specific manner, yet also specifically recognizes the core sequence 5'-CAC[GA]TG-3'. Seems to activate the transcription of growth-related genes.

Applications
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunofluorescence: 1:100-1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Peptide corresponding to the sequence around phosphorylation site of serine 62 (P-L-S(p)-P-S) derived from human Myc.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
