A β2-adrenergic agonist. Bronchodilator; tocolytic. Fenoterol hydrobromide is a sympathomimetic drug. It is used to treat asthma, bronchitis and emphysema.[1] Fenoterol administration might be linked to liver damage.[2] It has anti-inflammatory effects on eosinophil function.[3] Fenoterol hydrobromide has been used in chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC&-MS-MS) for specific and sensitive detection of β-agonists (BAG).[4]
